Natural Resources Trustee Coordinators Steering Committee

Welcome to the Natural Resource Trustee Coordinators' Steering Committee (NRTSC) Web Site! The NRTSC is currently assisting the Department of Energy (DOE) in implementing the Department's September 8, 1997, "Policy on Integrating Natural Resource Concerns into Response Actions."

The NRTSC consists of DOE employees and key support contractors at DOE sites, who act as technical points of contact for natural resource trustees and natural resource damage assessment (NRDA) issues. NRDA issues typically arise during the course of the Department's environmental restoration and waste management activities. This Web site was created to support the NRTSC in this current effort, and to support the NRTSC in accomplishing the goals and objectives identified in the September 8, 1997, policy.

This Web site is currently accessible only to NRTSC members. In the long-term, the NRTSC Web site will provide open access to DOE and its stakeholders for (1) communicating and exchanging information on natural resource trustee issues; (2) obtaining guidance and other documents and technical assistance in the application of site-specific strategies for integrating natural resource concerns into response actions, and (3) sharing information and lessons learned regarding natural resource trustee's concerns, including technical and administrative issues.
