RCRA Definitions of Solid and Hazardous Waste Automated Guidance
The RCRA Definitions of Solid and Hazardous Waste Automated Guidance is a program designed to help users determine whether a suspect waste meets the regulatory definitions of a "solid" or a "hazardous" waste under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). A question and answer format is used to guide the user through the regulations that might apply to the material.
The questions and answers include all major information from the RCRA regulations found in Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 261 (40 CFR Part 261). In some cases, regulatory language has been supplemented with language from EPA rulemaking preambles.
About the Program
The RCRA Definitions of Solid and Hazardous Waste program was originally developed as a Macintosh hypertext application. The current program was created using Asymetrix Toolbook Version 4.0. The program may be downloaded, installed, and run locally on any PC running Windows.
