Automated Underground Storage Tank Guidance (Macintosh Version)
To assist the field in complying with Subtitle I of RCRA and 40 CFR 280, the Office of Environmental Guidance prepared and distributed the Regulated Underground Storage Tank Guidance (UST) document in June 1992, which describes the UST procedural requirements (including tanks and piping) for USTs containing petroleum, hazardous substances, and radioactive materials regulated under the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 (42 U.S.C. 2001). The guidance provides a thorough explanation of UST regulations using tables, flowcharts, and checklists to provide a "roadmap" for DOE staff who are responsible for supervising UST operations, and is tailored to address the issues facing DOE facilities.
This guidance is now offered as a computer program for Macintosh users. This computer automated guidance can be run on a Macintosh operating system (OS) version 7.5 or greater. It is not recommmended that the automated guidance be used on an OS prior to System 6.07, nor will it run on a processor chip less than the Motorola 68020.
