Proposed 10 CFR 835 Amendment


INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING ELECTRONIC COMMENTS

The Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a proposed amendment to its primary standards for occupational radiation protection - Federal rule 10 CFR Part 835. You are invited to participate in the amendment process by submitting data, views, or arguments with respect to the subjects set forth in the notice of proposed rulemaking via this web site. The form to submit comments using this site can be reached by clicking on the button labeled "comments" at the bottom of this page. Use the "tab" key or click on the next field to progress through the data entry fields in the comment form. All comments must be received by March 31,1997. DOE cannot guarantee that comments received after this date will be considered. Do not submit information or data using this web site that is believed to be confidential and exempt by law from public disclosure.

The following documents have been either revised or developed to assist in understanding the proposed amendment to 10 CFR 835: (1) Side by Side Comparison of Current 10 CFR 835 vs Amended 10 CFR 835. (2) Proposed revisions to the 10 CFR 835 Implementation Guides to make them consistent with the proposed amendment. (3) Proposed revision to DOE Radiological Control Standard formerly the DOE Radiological Control Manual. (4) Two new proposed DOELAP Standards (5) Set of sixteen Regulatory Position Papers providing detailed information on significant proposed changes. Comments on the proposed amendment may also be submitted in writing or orally at two public hearings.
